Katie brings over 13 years of experience working across the behavioral health system in direct service, administrative, and applied research roles. She is passionate about building systems that connect individuals and families with the right care at the right time and has focused her career on building an integrated and responsive healthcare system.

Katie spent 10 years working in community mental health centers in New Hampshire and Connecticut where she held a range of clinical and administrative roles. As Director of Integrated Care during NH’s 1115 Waiver Transformation Project, Katie spearheaded the first primary care into behavioral health program in New Hampshire to be sustained post-grant, improving access and health outcomes for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. She was also instrumental in the growth of behavioral health into primary care, adding an additional site and leading its transformation from co-located to integrated care.

Prior to joining BBS, Katie was Project Director at the UNH Institute for Health Policy and Practice where she led technical assistance and training initiatives centered around behavioral health delivery system and payment reform. While in this role, Katie is proud to have improved access to care for children through the launch of a statewide child psychiatry access line. She was also instrumental in the state’s implementation of 988 and the development of a crisis responder curriculum.

Katie’s clinical expertise includes individual, family, and group therapy as well as clinical supervision provided wherever clients need it most: their homes, schools, mental health clinics, corrections, and primary care.

Katie holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Bryant University, a Masters in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Social Work from Salve Regina University. You can find her hiking, skiing, or cheering on her kids at youth sports events in New Hampshire.
